Black-and-grey surreal sleeve, headless figure & tree

This piece has been a journey — just like the story it tells. After about 12 hours total, this tattoo is finally complete. A twisted, lifeless tree flows through the arm, its roots and branches guiding the eye like the paths we take through life. Beneath it, a headless figure holding an umbrella walks forward with a child. The missing head represents moving through life without overthinking — leading with instinct, responsibility, and heart instead of ego. The umbrella becomes protection, sheltering what matters most as the storm passes. At the bottom, the skull grounds the piece, reminding us that time moves forward no matter what — and every step, every choice, eventually becomes part of the same cycle. Life is a lot like this tattoo — built slowly, layer by layer. Some moments are dark, some are heavy, some feel uncertain… but if you keep moving forward, the story reveals itself. All done in black and grey, using @starbritecolors inks and @emalla.official needles from start to finish. Thank you to my client for the trust and patience on this one 🖤
